1. Drainage steps of fiber laser cutting machine

The fiber laser cutting machine is equipped with special water-cooling equipment and a water tank, which must be drained first. The parts involved in drainage mainly include water tanks, pipelines, pump heads, filters, and deionization tanks (optional accessories).

1.1. Disconnect the power supply related to the equipment that needs to be drained.

 

1.2. Drain the water tank: Open the drain valve (or drain plug) at the lower part of the water tank to drain the water in the water tank. If necessary, tilt the water cooler to drain water more thoroughly.

 

1.3. Drainage in the pipeline and the laser: first unplug the four-way water pipe, and then use compressed air to blow air from the inlet and outlet of the pipeline for 1 minute to force the water in the pipeline back to the water tank, and the water tank will drain outlet for discharge.

 

1.4. Unscrew the filter element inside the refrigerator and drain the water out of it.

 

1.5. Open the cover of the water tank and observe whether there is still water in the water tank (you can connect the water supply port with compressed air again and blow air in reverse to force the residual water in the pipeline, laser (pipe) and water pump back to the water tank, and then tank drain outlet). If there is water, you can tilt the chiller slightly to drain the water, or use a dry towel to absorb the water.

 

1.6. Drain water from the pump head: unscrew the drain screw under the water pump to drain the water in the pump. It is recommended to use compressed air to blow out the residual water in the pump head, and then tighten the water drain screw.

 

1.7. Drainage of the filter and deionization tank: open the drain valve at the lower part of the filter and deionization tank or the plexiglass casing to remove the residual water in it.

 

2. About the method of adding antifreeze to the cooling water of fiber sheet cutting machine:

 

2.1. Ethylene glycol (also known as glycol), the main component of antifreeze, can be purchased at local hardware and chemical stores, and it is also available online.

2.2. The ratio of ethylene glycol to deionized water, the recommended minimum ratio is about 30%, but the recommended ratio is 50% (water accounts for 70%, ethylene glycol accounts for 30%).

2.3. When the ambient temperature drops below zero (inclusive), it must be added.

2.4. Ethylene glycol is not the same as ethanol (alcohol), so be sure to pay attention to the difference.
