1. Laser nozzle selection:

The diameter of the nozzle determines the shape of the gas flow entering the incision, the gas diffusion area, and the gas flow rate, thereby affecting the removal of molten material and the stability of cutting. The air flow entering the incision is large, the speed is fast, and the position of the workpiece in the air flow is appropriate, the stronger the ability of the jet to remove the melt. The thicker the stainless steel, the larger the nozzle should be used, the larger the proportional valve setting, and the larger the flow rate, the pressure can be ensured, and the normal section effect can be cut. At the same time, in order to ensure the cutting effect and protect the nozzle from damage. A coaxial test is also required before cutting to ensure that the nozzle is coaxial with the laser output beam.

2. Frequency control of laser cutting machine:

Find out the best frequency range by changing the frequency. When the frequency is reduced from 500-200Hz, the effect of the cutting section becomes finer, and the layering gradually improves. When the frequency is set to 100Hz, cutting is impossible and blue light is reversed. It is necessary to ensure that the number of pulses perfectly matches the energy of a single pulse.

3. Duty cycle of laser cutting machine:

The duty ratio of 53% is the critical value. If the duty ratio continues to decrease, uncut marks appear on the lower surface. When the duty ratio increases to 60%, the section becomes rough, with obvious delamination, and the cut surface turns yellow. Increase or decrease the duty cycle according to the section judgment.
4. Focus speed of laser cutting machine:

The focus is different, and the thickness, material, and quality that can be cut are also different. When cutting different materials and thicknesses, you need to adjust to a different focus. Before cutting, measure the actual zero focus before referring to the cutting process parameters to determine the most suitable cutting focus faster.

5. Determine the parameters of the laser cutting machine:

5.1 For cross-section delamination, the frequency should be reduced or the positive focus should be appropriately reduced, and for cross-section yellowing, the duty cycle should be reduced;

5.2 An increase in frequency and an increase in duty cycle can bring about an increase in speed, but the section effect becomes worse and layered. The parameters can be adjusted according to the actual situation to balance the demand.
